Belinda Evans
Driving Directions:
Belinda Evans was elected to the SCUC ISD Board of Trustees in 2021 on a platform grounded in the belief that education and community are powerful forces for opportunity. A former secondary English and ESL teacher, she returned to the classroom after time in the private sector, driven by a desire to support student growth and success. She has also spent many years mentoring teens, college students, couples, and creative groups through ministry work.
Mrs. Evans has contributed to several significant district efforts, including the hiring of Superintendent Paige Meloni, advancing student and staff safety measures, and supporting compensation increases for employees. Eight campuses have shown academic growth during her tenure. She currently serves as Board Secretary and represents the Board on the CTE Advisory Board, the Legislative Advocacy Committee, and the High-Quality Instructional Materials Committee. She is also pursuing a graduate certificate in Distance Learning and Technology.
Her family has deep roots in SCUC ISD. She has four children, seven grandchildren—including one currently enrolled in the district—and three great-grandchildren who will attend SCUC schools. Her personal investment in the district’s future contributes to her focus on strong academic standards, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that every voice in the community is heard.
Mrs. Evans remains committed to thoughtful leadership, community connection, and supporting programs that prepare students for success beyond graduation.
