How will the northern part of Schertz look in the future? The pubic will get an idea on how the northern part of Schertz will look in the future during a planning and design charrette held January 31 and February 2 at the Schertz Civic Center. Monday, January 31, the charrette will involve community input and a planning process overview. Wednesday, February 2, the charrette will consist of a joint meeting of the Schertz City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission and Economic Development Corp. and a charrette progress report. The charrette will focus on the northern part of Schertz, especially the area from FM 3009 to Friesenhahn Road. The charrette is a process to create the vision that the City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission and Economic Development Corporation has for Schertz. It also will look at attracting investment as well as quality development - such as from the medical, higher education, entertainment and corporate sectors - to the IH-35 section. |
