Pack the Bus School Supply Drive

Communities In Schools of South Central Texas (CIS) is inviting the community to help ensure every student starts the school year prepared through its annual Pack the Bus school supply drive. 

Each year, Pack the Bus provides thousands of students with essential school supplies, necessities, and hygiene items so they can arrive at school ready to learn. As student needs continue to grow across South Central Texas, community support is more important than ever. 

Pack the Bus Day at H-E-B 

On Friday, August 1, CIS staff, volunteers, and board members will be collecting school supplies and monetary donations at H-E-B stores in Bulverde, Cibolo, Seguin, Schertz, and all three New Braunfels locations. 

All donated supplies will be distributed to students throughout the school year as needs arise. 

Most Needed Items 

• Wide-ruled composition books 

• Primary composition books 

• Plastic folders with brads and pockets 

• Clear backpacks 

• New water bottles with lids 

• Earbuds or headphones 

• Low-odor dry erase markers 

• Washable markers 

• Colored pencils 

• Pencil bags or boxes 

• Blunt and pointed metal scissors 

• Undergarments 

• Individually packaged snacks 

• Hygiene items (soap, shampoo, deodorant) 

• Feminine hygiene pads 

• Lice treatment kits

Community members can support Pack the Bus in several ways: 

• Make a financial gift by visiting www.cis-sct.org. 

• Donate school supplies at one of more than 30 collection sites throughout July. Donation locations are: Alamo Title - New Braunfels and Schertz location, CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, City of Garden Ridge, First Commercial Bank (New Braunfels locations), First United Bank – Schertz, Garden Ridge, Seguin and Bulverde locations, J&R Gymnastics, Jefferson Bank - New Braunfels, Just Focus Real Estate, Katie Foerster Realtor - Keller Williams, LPC Tracker, McKenna Children's Museum, New Braunfels Police Department, New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, Oakwood Church, Old Republic Title – Seguin, Pratt Industries, Prosperity Bank - Canyon Lake, New Braunfels and Seguin locations, Schertz Bank - Main Branch, I-35 Branch, Seguin Branch and New Braunfels Branches, Schertz Public Library, Seguin Public Library, Steele Creek Residential, St. John's Episcopal Church, Standard Casualty Company, The Foundry Salon, Today's Smile, Treetop Pediatric Dentistry 

• Donate in person on August 1 at participating H-E-B stores in New Braunfels, Bulverde, Cibolo, Schertz, and Seguin. 

• Give at the register by making a donation at H-E-B checkout stands during the Pack the Bus campaign.
