Mary believes that government is about helping people\, being a good steward of tax dollars and making City government more efficient.\n\nHer additional civic activities includes service as the Vice President to the Northeast Partnership\, member of Randolph Metro Chamber\, City of Live Oak Economic Development Corporation\, City of Live Oak Planning and Zoning Commission\, Bowden Charter of Business and Professional Women\, San Antonio Commission of Literacy and Mary is a charter member of National Council of Negro Women   Ruth Jones McClendon Chapter. Ms. Dennis also served as Commissioner on the Mayor's Commission for the Status of Women\, San Antonio Livestock and Rodeo Public Affairs Committee\, the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and President of Pearls (Professional Business Women).  She is a member of Livingway Christian Church.\n\nMary epitomizes the power of persistence as well as the incomparable power of an abiding faith in God
