DESCRIPTION:Schertz Area Senior Center and WellMed to Hold Grand Opening \n\n				\n\n				Schertz Area Senior Center\n\n				608 Schertz Parkway\, Schertz\n\n				\n\n				Friday\, March 4th\n\n				10:30 am - 12:30 pm\n\n				 \n		\n		\n			\n				\n					Join the City of Schertz\, the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation\, and WellMed for the grand opening of the Schertz Area Senior Center and the WellMed Clinic in Schertz.  \n				\n					The Schertz Area Senior Center\, which has been gearing up since late November 2010\, is fully operational and serving seniors\, said Center Director Ida Hardy.  \n				\n					 Qualified seniors who are age 60 or older can receive a free hot lunch Monday through Friday at 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. In addition to the nutrition program\, the center offers opportunities for Senior Center members to explore seven dimensions of wellness: social\, physical\, intellectual\, vocational\, environmental\, emotional and spiritual.\n				\n					While you do not have to be a member to enjoy the hot meal program\, membership is required for participation in the other events. The facility is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
