SUMMARY:Basic Mediation Course
DESCRIPTION:This intensive four-day program provides you with the opportunity to acquire mediation knowledge\, skills\, and techniques used to assist parties with divergent positions or interests work towards a dispute resolution they can "live with" moving forward.  \n\n \n\n         Through extensive role-play simulations\, you will be both the mediator and a party to a dispute learning how third-party neutral mediator intervention can help manage conflict in a wide variety of practice areas. The simulations use a variety of mediation delivery methods while the participants are observed and coached by a SHRM Recertification Provider and TMCA Credentialed Distinguished Mediator.\n\n \n\n         This program is approved for 40 PDCs for the SHRM-CP  or SHRM-SCP  and 40 hours of SBOT Continuing Legal Education .  Course content meets the mediator training requirements pursuant to Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code  154.052(a)\, the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association (TMCA)\, and standards promulgated by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable (TMTR).
